With looks and performance that will make you think it was carved out of solid billet aluminum the Swamp Thang is all attitude. It has a hotroded single 12AX7 pre-amp and push pull EL84 output putting out 15 watts of very loud tube all tube power.
"Swampy" takes the same basic approach to tone as "The Guvner" with simple controls: Volume, Tone and Master Volume with high and low power input jacks and 4 and 8 ohm output. This little head unit is perfect for blues and southern rock. With single coils it's sweet and bluesy, with humbuckers it's anywhere from jazzy to down right raunchy, with P90s it will melt your blues away.
This amp is for the serious boutique amp fan and comes as pictured with no cover. It's great for the studio or home but if you want to tote it to gigs, you may want to consider the Guvner since it's fully covered and protected. Remember, it's all custom at ESD amps so changes are welcome, just let me know what you need.
Get ready to rock!
Priced from $750.00

Introducing my latest amp a nod to the British invasion, I introduce The Guvner, pronounced "Goovna". This is a fun 18 watt type amp with an upgrade to a GZ34 rectifier tube running in push pull with EL84 power tubes and 2 12AX7 pre-amp tubes. I use a power saving 3 knob control approach with a main volume, a tone and a master volume for great flexibility in tone production. If you dig that British amp sound, this one will surely satisfy!
This little amp even has a tube overdrive quiet mode that's great for late night practice in the apartment. Just turn the master volume down and the main volume way up and you get loads of 12AX7 crunch in at an output level you can talk over, no need for expensive attenuators.
The Guvner comes with a steel mesh cage top like Tweedy and starts at $650.00.

Tweedy:
This amp has one of the sweetest "Tweed" era sounds you'll ever hear. It is a push-pull 6V6 using either 1 12AY7 with 1 12AX7 or 2 12AX7 in the pre-amp depending on the desired level of overdrive. For for added versatility and clean headroom, I normally reccomend using a GZ34 in the rectifier for a bit more clean power at about 15 watts than the traditional '50s tweed would have but a 5Y3 version is available for that old time velvety sag sound at about 12 watts.
Tweedy is very loud and is capable of handling 1 12, 2 10, 2 12, up to 4 12 speaker cabinets with ease.
Tweedy is built as a head unit (as shown) with two volume controls, tone control is optional, a 4 ohm and an 8 ohm output jack.
NEW! I also offer the Tweedy II (not pictured) with Master Volume, Tone and Gain control. Prices start at $650.00 depending on needs and options.
The 1 12 cabinet shown is a solid Birch Plywood unit that is avaialable from $350.00.
